CWU Labour and Union Studies Degree

The BA in Trade Union and Labour Studies is unique in offering a chance to study health and safety as a specialism as well as the more traditional legislative, economic and industrial relations modules on the course.

Applicants for this programme should normally have completed the following CWU courses to meet the requirements: CWU Branch Officers 1, 2 and 3 or CWU Advanced Skills 1, 2 and 3. It will be an advantage if applicants have also completed the CWU or TUC Trade Union and Labour studies Further Education Certificate or the CWU or TUC Employment Law Certificate.

The CWU Education and Training Department is able to support students on this course through the payment of course fees, and travel and accommodation costs. The course is delivered on a part time basis through distance learning and short residential weeks and weekends over six years. The course may lead to a certificate in higher education, a diploma or a full degree, from the London Metropolitan University. The course will recruit each spring.
